The death of Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has sent shockwaves through the public and her family. The situation took an even more shocking turn with a recent statement from Malaika's mother, Joyce. According to Joyce’s statement to the police, Anil Arora’s death was a suicide.

A few hours after Anil Arora’s passing, police officials recorded Joyce's statement. She mentioned that Anil used to sit on the balcony every morning to read the newspaper. Despite their divorce, Joyce revealed that they had been living together again for the past few years. On the morning of the incident, Joyce noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room and went to the balcony to find him. When he was not there, she looked down and saw the building’s watchman calling for help. Joyce also informed the police that Anil did not have any significant health issues, aside from some knee pain, and had retired from the Merchant Navy.

The police are still investigating Anil Arora’s death but have yet to find concrete evidence of suicide. Malaika Arora, who was in Pune at the time of the incident, has since returned to Mumbai. The body of her father is currently at Baba Hospital, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
